Meine Kunst. Meine Welt. Der betrachter spührt was er will. F ... E My Art. My World. My sources of inspirations are drawn from nature, people, sensuality, fertility, sexuality, pleasure, joy of life, colorfulness, generosity, beauty, space, stars, the universe, divine things and love. I also get inspired by my soul and my subconscious. I recognize forms through feelings and feel their movement. I express them with my copper art. It is exciting to ignore the mind and thoughts and work with my intuition. It is like playing. In most of my pictures there are horizontal and vertical movements, often drawn as lines. Like energy moves inside me from the ground, from the feet to the head and beyond. From my heart to the left and right. I love the square and symmetry. Very often you can observe a flat zone on my pieces of art. It is sometimes characterized by a disturbing color, like a mirror, an opening or a door. I love my pictures. I have a hard time parting from them when I sell them but it also gives me great joy. First I make an etching, I never draw on paper and I never make a sketch. In the beginning, I never see any colors, the only thing I see are forms. When I make a picture after having magnified the etching, I add the colors through my intuition. Mostly I color in the background first and then one color leads to the next. Sometimes, when my creative process gets disturbed by my thoughts, so I have to wait. I love strong, bold colors. I have found a technique that suits me very well. (see my explanations regarding my technique). I never paint with green. Turquoise has the strongest green pigments or a hint of cool shade of yellow. I love red, cyan, warm yellow, pink and purple. My pictures have golden frames. They are part of the masterpieces. For me the golden frames represent the border or the connection between the here and the picture. They intensify the colors. Nowadays I make the frames myself out of gold leaves. Sometimes I integrate gold into a picture or etching. As a new thing, I have pressed (not printed) ten grams of pure gold onto an etching. This results in a very small sized gold etching. I will also making pictures from the gold etchings. This time these pictures are round and a bit smaller. I never name my pieces of art, as I don’t want to anticipate anything or give anything away. The viewer feels what he or she wants to feel. (I apply numbers after year and month). I always put my signature in a place that doesn’t disturb me. Sometimes I have to search for it. |
